Baby Beau was just an absolute dream and slept soundly for her whole Newborn Photography Session at my home studio.
Beau’s mum and dad Matthew and Hannah kindly brought this little superstar to model for us as I was doing a workshop for other aspiring Newborn Photographers. It was a rather sweaty three hours in the studio with 30 degree heat outdoors.
Whilst I ask for babies under 10 days it’s always a little hit and miss how sleepy or awake a baby is during their session but little Beau was a perfect model. She was 7 days old when she came to the studio which is the perfect age to photograph a newborn baby. She was also bottle fed which often means babies sleep more soundly and made getting those sleepy curly poses much easer.
Baby Beau’s Newborn Photography Session
Being their third child Matthew and Hannah were super relaxed during the session and watched as we worked our way through a variety of different setups and poses. We started with simple back poses in a lovely natural wooden bowl and then on the beautiful log bed tucked in as snug as a bug. These poses are really comfortable for baby. We ended with some parent shots with mummy and daddy and then some naked bum up shots of Beau on the bean bag using a lovely pink backdrop and a couple of accessories such as the lace crown.
Beau’s Newborn Photography Session was part of The Newborn Photography Workshop, which is an intimate workshop with just four spaces per session and is aimed at complete beginners. We cover everything from equipment and lighting to safety and posing and attendees leave with images for their portfolio. For more information on Newborn Photography Workshops head over here.
